‘Hibiscus Break’ is a work from Susan’s ‘Seaburbia’ series. Often overlooking surf breaks theses beach houses were visited on weekends and holidays. With activities focused on the beach and not the yard native vegetation was often retained, like the native Hibiscus or ‘Cotton Tree'.
